Catherine Gail Gunter

Catherine Gail Gunter, 63, of Monett, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, while at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. 

She was born on July 24, 1962 in Beaumont, Calif., daughter of Paul Winfred Ralls and Helen Lorene (Davis) Ralls. After moving to southwest Missouri, she graduated from Pierce City High School with the class of 1980. In her early years, she worked in manufacturing and later in her life was a devoted homemaker. She was raised in the Lutheran church and had recently attended the Real Life Assembly Church in Monett.

She is survived by her longtime companion and partner in life, Zane Donaldson, of Monett; her mother, Helen Kelley, of Joplin; one son, Jarrod Cryar, of Monett; two daughters, Amber Faulkner and husband Pete, of Forsyth, and Alissa Gunter, of Verona; her sister, Carmen Stotts and husband Gregory D. of Joplin; her step-sons, Levi and Cameron Donaldson, both of Joplin; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Ralls; and her brother, Paul Ralls, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, at Buchanan Funeral Home. Reverend Randy Corp will be officiating. Visitation will begin prior to the service at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the McCormick-St. John’s Cemetery, Monett. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, 301 Euclid Ave, Monett.
