Patrick J. Litchy

Patrick J. Litchy, 78, of Verona, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born May 19, 1947 in St. Paul Minn, to Merel Arthur Gooler and Evelyn Cecelia (Lucine) Gooler as Robert Allen Gooler. He was adopted at 4 days old by Lawrence and Anna Litchy of Avon, Minn.

Pat grew up in Verona, where he attended grammar school at Sacred Heart Catholic and high school through grade 11 at Verona High School. He joined the Merchant Marines and was later drafter by the Army to serve in Vietnam.

Upon his return he married Darlene Baldwin with whom he had five children, Joann, Joseph, Jennifer, Julie and Jeffrey. In 1980 he met and married Mary Litchy with who he had three Children, Tammy, Robbie and Debbie. 

 Who all survive him including his 12 grand children and 14 great grandchildren.

He worked for Missouri Pacific Rail Road, Tree Trimming Services and many Mechanical careers.

Patrick is proceeded in death by his wife of 32 years Mary (Bishop) Litchy. His adoptive parents Lawrence and Ann Litchy. His birth parents Evelyn (Lucine) and Merel Gooler. 

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM in Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Maple Park Cemetery with full Military Honors. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 19th From 1:00 PM until Service time in the Funeral Chapel.
