Shannon Dwayne Bruton

Shannon Dwayne Bruton, 56, of Cassville, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026.

He was born on Sept. 19, 1969, in Monett, to Joe Bruton and Donna Faye (Isley) McCloud. He grew up in Cassville and graduated from Cassville High School in 1987. In 1988, he was united in marriage to Lisa LaDawn James in Cassville. She preceded him in death on Jan. 9, 2013. He was also preceded in death by his father, Joe Bruton.

Throughout his career, he worked as a machinist for several manufacturing companies in the area. He attended Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville.

He is survived by his mother, Donna Faye McCloud of Cassville; his life partner, Christine Tucker of Cassville; his sons, Kylan Bruton of Purdy, and Lucas James and his wife, Rachel, of Exeter; his daughter, Katelyn Adams of Purdy; his sisters, Shawna Ellison of Exeter and Jami Curry Bruton of Eagle Rock; and his eight beloved grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
