Norman Ray Boles

Norman Ray Boles, 78, of Bentonville, Ark., formerly of Wheaton, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 28, 2026.

He was born April 18, 1948, in Wheaton, the son of Loren and Ferry (Dalton) Boles, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his stepson, Lucas McDowell and brother, Charles Boles.

Surviving are his sons, Brad Boles and wife Tami of Beaverdam, Va and Rodney Kurtz and wife Jodi of Gardner, Kan.; daughters, Jami Hovey and husband Paul of Birmingham, Ala. and Angela Lundberg and husband Kory of Bentonville, Ark.; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Norman attended school in Cassville, where he graduated from Cassville High School. Following graduation, he completed a four-year apprenticeship with Royal Typewriter in Springfield, which led to his employment at FASCO Industries in Cassville, in the tool and die department. After leaving FASCO, Norman owned and operated his own tool and die business in Cassville. 

He attended Hillcrest Church in Bentonville, Ark. 

Visitation was held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Michael Goering will conduct the service. A private burial will be held later at Fox Cemetery in Powell.
