Mary Jean Konkowski

Mary Jean Konkowski, 83, of Aurora, passed away on April 7, 2026, the loving wife of the late Daniel Konkowski; beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Genevieve Pawlak; devoted mother of Veronica (Garry) Earnest, Theresa (Robert) Critchfield, Ronald (Debbie) Konkowski, cherished grandmother of nine grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren. She had one brother, Thomas (Carol) Pawlak. She is preceded in death by five brothers, four sisters, one son, Anthony and one daughter, Therese.

She had a passion for music, touching jazz to country to blues, swing, rock-n-roll and Hawaiian. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. She had a strong love for all animals and an extreme sense of patriotism.

A memorial mass was at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 11, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Aurora. A visitation was held from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, April 13, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield, with burial following at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri.  www.swh.org.
