Joseph Clark Higgins

Joseph Clark Higgins, 80, of Greenfield, was born on June 3, 1946 in Springfield,  to Joseph Earl “Jack” Higgins and Mary Frances (Ellis) Higgins and passed away on July 2, 2026.

His hometown was Arcola and he lived in Greenfield many years. He was a long distance truck driver most of his working life and later started a lawn mowing service in the Greenfield area. J

He is survived by a son, Jason Higgins of Washington state; a brother, Bill Higgins and wife Elaine of Greenfield; and a sister, Patricia Russo and husband Vince of Greenfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Billie Jo Higgins of Washington state.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, at Arcola Hickory Grove Cemetery with Pastor Larry Wheeler officiating. There will be no formal visitation, but family and friends are welcome to view and pay their respects at their convenience on Tuesday from  noon to 6 p.m. at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arcola Hickory Grove Cemetery. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
