Heath Michael Bishop

Heath Michael Bishop, 56, of Hurley, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, following a tragic automobile accident. He was born July 2, 1970, in Springfield, the son of Ronnie and Nanette (Lewis) Bishop.
 
He was a 1989 graduate of Hurley High School in Hurley and was a truck driver.
 
He is survived by his father, Ronnie Bishop, of Hurley; four children, Tyler Bishop and his fiancée, Jazmin Flores, of Galena, Tabitha Wilson and her husband, Justin, of Joplin,  Nathan Bishop  of Galena, and Kathryn Vogel and her husband, Nick, of Manasquan, N.J; one granddaughter; one grandson on the way; two sisters, Suzanne Hultz and her husband, Lee, of Elsey, and Valery Wilson and her husband, Brad, of Hurley.
 
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nanette Bishop; his grandparents; his son, Micah Hollen Bishop and one grandson, Walker Wilson.
 
A visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to help with funeral expenses may be made payable to Stockmens Bank of Crane, in care of the funeral home.
