Empire’s Sadler named to First Independent Bank board

The board of directors of First Independent Bank, Aurora, has announced the election of Marcia Sadler of Aurora to the bank’s board of directors. Sadler moved to Aurora in 1997 as district Customer Service Manager for Empire District Electric and has remained with Empire for over 20 years. In 2000 she became Manager of Customer Service for Empire’s eastern service territory and remained in that position until 2015 when she became Manager of Business and Community Development.
Since making her home in Aurora, Sadler has been involved in a wide array of community service programs, including Main Street Aurora, Aurora Rotary Club, Aurora Area Chamber of Commerce, Aurora Economic Development Corporation, Mercy (Aurora) Hospital Board, and Bright Futures Site Council. She also received the 2018 Aurora Area Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award.
