Bertram Wayne “Bert” Sharp

Bertram Wayne “Bert” Sharp, Jr., 57, of Marionville passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at his home. He was born April 25, 1969, in Lebanon the son of Bertram Wayne and Valeria Catherine (Himstedt) Sharp, Sr. He was a 1987 graduate of Morgan City High School in Morgan City, La. and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of New Orleans in New Orleans, La. He worked as a Patient Access Representative for Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

He is survived by his three children, Chelsea Perez and her husband, Brent, of Morgan City, La., Bertram Wayne “Trey” Sharp III, of Marionville, and Serenity Carloyn JoAnn Sharp of Marionville and their mother, Melissa Sharp of Warrenton, two grandsons, his mother, Val Sharp of Springfield, two brothers, Matthew Sharp and his wife, Keris, of Pierce City and Nathan Sharp of Springfield.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bertram Sharp Sr. and his sister, Jayne Petitfils.

No services are planned currently. Arrangements are under the direction of Williams Funeral Home in Marionville.
