Aurora woman receives consecutive life sentences for shootings spanning state lines

An Aurora woman has received her second life sentence for a spree of shootings that crossed state lines into Arkansas in 2025.
The life sentences, one coming from a Missouri court and the other from Arkansas will run consecutively.
Taylor Santiago, of Aurora shot three people, one in Missouri and two in Arkansas, with two of them deceased as a direct result. Santiago pleaded guilty to the charges of capital murder and attempted murder in Arkansas.
Santiago also pleaded guilty to a slew of charges in Missouri court, most notably for a count of robbery in the first degree, netting her 30 years in prison, as well as murder in the first degree which will result in life in prison without parole.
In January of 2025, Santiago told Aurora police that she had murdered her husband, Troy Huffman, at her home. When officers arrived later they found him dead on the floor of the home. She had invited Huffman over and shot him in the head and chest after he arrived.
Santiago then drove to Carroll County, Ark. and shot the father of one of her children, as well as his current girlfriend. The girlfriend died as a result.
