Aurora man dies in tractor mishap

An Aurora man was killed on Monday, Dec. 3, when a tractor he was driving overturned.
A report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol states that Aaron Carnes, 25, was reversing the 1976 White Field Boss tractor he was driving on Farm Road 2220, about two miles east of Aurora, when the tractor left the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.
Carnes was declared dead at the scene by Coroner Scott Lakin and was taken to the Williams Funeral Home in Marionville. The tractor sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
Carnes’ death is the first fatality for Highway Patrol Troop D in December and the 122nd in 2018.
