Kathy Elaine Wells

Kathy Elaine Wells, 42, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Feb. 9, 2020, at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield. She was born April 19, 1977, in Kennesaw, Ga., to George Edward and Patricia Ann (Bishop) Hall Sr.
She was raised by her grandmother, Amilee and grew up in Rydal, Ga. and was a 1995 graduate of Adairsville High School. She was a library assistant for the Barry/Lawrence Regional Libraries, working at the Miller and Mt. Vernon Libraries. She also worked at Movie Gallery, in Mt. Vernon, until it closed. In 1999, she married Dennis Wells, in Ringgold, Ga.
Wells is survived by: her husband of 20 years; sons, Tyler Wells of Miller and Jesse Wells of Mt. Vernon; daughter, Amilee Wells of Mt. Vernon; brothers, George, Tommy and Kenny Sprayberry, all of Ball Play, Ga. and John Sprayberry of Gaylesville, Ga.; sister, Pam Boles of Ball Play; her parents; and her best friend, Connie Chapman of Cartersville, Ga. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Sprayberry.
A celebration of life will be held March 1, 2020, at the MARC, 822 West Mt. Vernon Blvd., Mt. Vernon. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.
