William Eugene Lewis

William Eugene Lewis, 76, of Everton passed away on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at the Mt. Vernon Place Care Center. He was born June 22, 1949, in Kansas City, the son of the late Dan and Agnes (Conner) Lewis.
He was a 1967 graduate of Northeast High School in Kansas City and was a United States Air Force veteran. He received his master’s degree in criminal psychology from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar.
On Sept. 18, 1976, he married Wilma Denise Villines in Kansas City. She preceded him in death on Dec. 16, 2020.
He is survived by his daughter, Shauna Huddleston and her husband Steve, of Joplin; one son, Thomas Lewis, of Bend, Ore.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
