Virginia Lacy Wilks

Virginia Lacy Wilks, 93, passed away March 6, 2020. She was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Marionville.
She married Ralph Kenneth Wilks Sr., in 1943, just before he was shipped overseas for World War II. She began her career with AT&T/Southwestern Bell when she was 16 years-old. During her career, she was promoted to the title of district manager operator services. She retired due to medical reasons, with over 32 years of service.
She is survived by: daughter, Becky Perryman; brother, Ken and his wife Melinda; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1962 and son-in-law, Randy.
Memorials may be made in her name to Grace Church of Nazarene at 540 E. Walnut Lawn St., Springfield, MO 65807. Graveside services were held March 10, 2020 at White Chapel Cemetery, Springfield.
