Sara Ann Robb

Sara Ann Robb, 45, of Kansas City, formerly of Monett, passed away March 26, 2020.
She was born March 12, 1975, in Boonville, to Robert Carl Markworth and Janet Ann (Stelzer) Markworth. She and her family moved to Monett in 1979 and she later graduated from Monett High School with the class of 1993. She furthered her education at Missouri State University where she received her finance degree. While at MSU, she was a member, past-president and very active in Delta Sigma Pi. She then studied at Rockhurst University, where she earned her master’s degree in business administration.
She worked as a treasury analyst for Sprint in Kansas City since 1998. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett and after moving to Kansas City, she became a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She was also active with the Young Leaders Society through the United Way in Kansas City. In 2001 in Kansas City, she married Christopher James Robb.
Survivors include: her husband; son, Samuel, of the home; mother, Janet Markworth, of Monett; brothers, Tim (Melony) Markworth; of North Bonneville, Wash., Scott (Diana) Markworth of Warrensburg and Kevin (Pam) Markworth of Pelham, N.C.; father and mother-in-law, James and Linda Robb, of Lee’s Summit; sister and brother-in-law, Michele and Jason Lajoie, of Kansas City; several neices and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of extended friends and family. She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Markworth.
Friends may visit the funeral home April 1, 2020 from noon until 7 p.m. A private graveside service will be held with the family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Kansas City. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
