Pearl Cleo Hood

Pearl Cleo Hood, 90, of Miller, passed away May 30, 2019, at her home. She was born April 16, 1929 in Hancock County, Ill., to Harold Everett and Gladys Cleo (Mapes) Mosher.
She retired, in March of 1991, after 20-plus years, from the dietary department at the former Missouri State Chest Hospital in Mt. Vernon. In 1948, she married Frank Edward Hood, in Miller; he preceded her in death in 2001.
Hood is survived by: daughters, Freeda (Dean) Smith of Aldrich, Patricia (Dennis) Harris and Klista (Milo) Daniel all of Miller; sisters, Mae Washam and Rosemary (Dan) Stanley of Carthage and Phyllis (Terry) Johnson of Jasper; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Jerry Pennington; brothers, John Everett Mosher and Keith Mosher; sister, Dorothy Baker; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
Services were held June 1, 2019, at the Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home in Miller. Burial followed at the Sycamore Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.
