Orville Eugene “Gene” Mills

Orville Eugene “Gene” Mills, 81, of Jenkins, passed away May 24, 2019 at this home.
He was born Aug. 12, 1937, in Shell Knob, to Orville John and Mildred Pearl (Holt) Mills. In 1996, he was married to Eula Mae Dotson, who survives.
Mills was a 1955 graduate of Cassville High School. He was a farmer and worked as a highway equipment operator. He was a member of Fairview Country Church in Shell Knob. Some of his favorite pastimes were playing bluegrass gospel music and his work horses.
Also surviving are: son, Kelly (Tina) Mills of Aurora; daughter, Angela Burmylo of Cassville; sisters, Patsy Stockton of Aurora, JoAnn Houston of Billings and Carole Whisman of Cassville; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents and son, Rocky Mills.
Services were held May 29, 2019 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial was at Clio Cemetery in Jenkins.
