Mt. Vernon honors decades of dedication to the city

The city of Mt. Vernon recognized longtime employees at their regular meeting on March 10. The city recognized citizens who have given their time to the city, ranging from five years of service to more than 30 according to Rob Harrington, city administrator.
“…these individuals have shown an incredible commitment to the City of Mt. Vernon and to the residents we proudly serve each day,” said Harrington. “Their hard work, professionalism, and dedication help keep our city running smoothly and make Mt. Vernon a better place to live, work, and raise a family. Public service is not always easy, but these employees continue to show up every day ready to serve their community. We are grateful for their years of dedication and the important roles they play across our city departments.”
