Monett Police Department seeks robbery suspects

Female Suspect
Man-woman team prove elusive after mid-February Walmart theft
Monett police, who regularly arrest subjects for thefts from local businesses, are asking the public for assistance on one of the more difficult incidents.
Police Lt. Dennis Camp reported that by mid-February, the Monett Walmart reported 15 stealing cases since the beginning of the year. Two of those were for felony thefts of at least $750. Four of those cases are presently unsolved.
On Feb. 10, around 10:30 p.m., a man and woman working together made one of those felony cases. According to store officials, the duo collected electronics, four bags of dog food valued at $150, and a small cooler priced at $20.
The female, described as approximately in her thirties, around 5’8” in height, with shoulder-length blonde hair and wearing pink tennis shoes, left the store first and pulled up near the entrance with a dark-colored Chevrolet four-door sedan car. The man, described as younger, approximately 5’6”, slender-to-medium build, with a full beard or goatee and wearing a gold ring on his left hand, rolled a shopping cart out the exit, which he loaded into the car and left without paying.
“Walmart has a pretty robust loss prevention department, with cameras all over the store,” Camp observed. “In most of these cases, we’re generally able to identify the subjects in-house, or Walmart knows who they are. If not, we turn to social media. About 99 percent of the time, someone knows who they are and will get back with us. So far, nothing has panned out in this case.”
Information on this case may call the main Monett police number at 417-235-4241, option 1.
