Mt. Vernon Area Chamber of Commerce hosts annual parade to big crowd on square
The parade began at 6 p.m. and was followed by a Christmas singalong, pictures with Santa, an ugly sweater contest, giveaways and the lighting of the courthouse. Braving the frigid temperature on the square, children had opportunities for photos with St. Nick before and after the parade.
