Mary Margaret Leitle

Mary Margaret Leitle, born on November 17, 1929, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the age of 96. She was born in Lawrence County, Missouri, at the family home, the ninth of ten children, to Joseph and Barbara (Pruente) Leitle.
 
Her parents, all five brothers, Joseph, Raymond, Eugene, Bill, and Charles and four sisters, Gertrude, Josephine, Helen (Brown), and Pauline preceded her in death. Two sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Sue also preceded her in death.
 
Mary is survived by one sister-in-law, Carolyn, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces, and nephews.
 
Mary lived in the same family home her entire life. For 35 years she worked in the banking profession, retiring as secretary to the president. She thoroughly enjoyed bus trips with her sister-in-law, Dorothy, in her later years. She was noted for decorative family birthday cakes, cookies, and numerous varieties of candy at Christmas. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Parish Council of Catholic Women.
 
A prayer service will be held from 5:00-5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026, with visitation to follow until 7:00 p.m. at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Aurora. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Aurora.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dawggie Bag Program in care of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
