Kenny Dean Smith

Please join us for a Celebration of Life Service remembering Kenny Dean Smith. It will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Williams Funeral Home, 300 S. Central Avenue, Marionville, Mo. A visitation will be available at 1:00 pm, and the service will begin at 2:00.
Kenny, 78, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on Janu- ary 28, 2026. During his life, Faith was important to him, and he was a member of The First Baptist Church in Matthews, NC for 40 years.
Singing and performing for audiences was something he truly enjoyed, and his involvement with The Barbershop Harmony Society was something he loved. He entertained groups with this unique style of music for over 45 years.
He was born in Aurora, MO to Joe & Catherine Smith on June 13, 1947. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Smith (Morrison), whom he married in 1967. Also surviving him are his three daugh- ters: Terri Wright (Christopher) of Madison, AL, Kristi Pelletier (David) of Wesley Chapel, NC, and Penni Gryder (Brian) of Charlotte, NC. He was Grandad to Ethan, Bennet, and Enly Wright, and Harlin Puckett. He loved the role of Dad to his many furry animals throughout his life. Kenny’s warm smile and quick wit will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
