Gladys Mae Spiker-Kinser

Gladys Mae Spiker-Kinser, 83, of Goodman, formerly of Fairview, passed from this life Thursday, April 30, 2026 at her home.

She was born Feb. 24, 1943 in Pikeville, Ky, the daughter of Freddie and Mary Ann (Ramsey) Hopkins. She was first united in marriage to Albert Mitchell, Sr., she then married Jerry Spiker, who passed away in 2009, she then was married to Warren Kinser until his death in 2015. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Vernon Hopkins and Kenneth Hopkins; sister, Jean Hopkins and fur babies, Sassy and Baby Girl.

Surviving are her son, Albert Mitchell, Jr., of Neosho; daughters, Robin Byrer and  Timothy Tyler of Goodman, Patricia Zilm and Donald of Elkhart, Ind., and Evelyn Mitchell of Elkhart, Ind.; adopted daughters, Brandy Fisher and Josh of Fairview and Michelle Vick and Bobby of Wheaton; brother, Buddy Hopkins and Violet of Morganton, N.C.; sister, Peggy Birkner and Skip of Bella Vista, Ark.; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Mount Olive Cemetery in Stark City. Pastor Tony Intessimone will conduct the service. Cremation arrangements are under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
