Dora Elizabeth Gaydou

Dora Elizabeth Gaydou, of Carthage passed away Sept. 25 from injuries sustained in a fall Aug. 28. She was born in the Pierce City area on April 11, 1930 to Clayton and Inez Morris. She graduated from Pierce City High School in 1948 and then married Neal Gaydou July 4, 1948. Gaydou retired to Carthage in 2006.
She is survived by: children, Gary (Jean) Gaydou ofMonett, Judy (Gary) Wampler of Carthage, Ellis (Debbie) Gaydou of Wentworth; Beverly (Gary) Jenkins of Bolivar, Donna (Charlie) Willis of Harrisonville and Joyce (David) Shaw of Carthage; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Olen (Bernice) Morris of Monett; Paul Ray (Diane) Morris of Fremont, Neb.; Lonnie (Frances) Morris, Skiatook, Okla.; and sister, Janice Morris Hill; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by: her husband of 63 years; her parents; brothers, Glenn, Rolland Dale and Gene Morris; and sister, Bonnie Morris Simmons.
An open viewing will be held Sept. 30, 2020 from 10-6 p.m. at Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020 at Liberty Cemetery North of Monett.
