Dewey Bowling

Dewey Bowling, 66, of Crane, passed away Sept. 14. Son of Ernest and Gladys (White). Bowling, was born on June 17, 1954 in Stone County.
Bowling was a blacksmith, a lifelong resident of the area and a member of New Dawn Pentecostal Church, Aurora.
Survivors include: son, Nathanael Bowling of Mt. Vernon; brother, Richard (Robyn) Bowling of Elsey; sisters, Doris Thompson of Reeds Spring, Patsy (Donald) Asher of Niangua, Linda (Ray) Medley of Lebanon, Joan Crane of Lebanon, and Sheryl (Leonard) Sawyer of Elsey; girlfriend, Sue Thompson Kern; his son’s mother, Vickie Bowling;  nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents; siblings, Bob Bowling, Ernestine Hammons, Illene Edwards, Maxine Bowling and Sondra Bowling.
Visitation was held Sept. 19 in Stumpff Funeral Chapel in Crane. Funeral services were followed after the visitation. Graveside services followed in Crane Community Cemetery in Crane. Services were under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home in Crane.
