The Mt. Vernon High School Co-ed Cheer squad traveled to Liberty High School for the Kansas City Regional Cheer Competition on Sunday, Sept. 29. The team competed and placed fifth in the Large Co-ed Division and qualified for the state competition in November.

The Mt. Vernon Mt’neers enjoyed an extra special homecoming as they defeated the Cassville Wildcats at Mt’neer Stadium on Friday, Oct. 4. The game was the Mt’neers fourth consecutive victory of the season, and the fifth overall.

The Mt. Vernon Mt’neers delivered a decisive victory against the East Newton Patriots during their game at Don Johnston Stadium in Newtonia on Friday, Sept. 20. The Mt’neers defeated the Patriots 48-6 to gain their third win of the season.
