Nina Dian Stirling

Nina Dian Stirling, 73, of Carthage passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was born in Kansas City, Kan. on Dec. 8, 1952; daughter of Earl and Mabel (Rimmer) Whinery. She married Richard Stirling on Dec. 18, 1987, in Olivet, S.D. She was a member of Standing at the Cross Christian Church in Carthage.
Surviving are niece JoAnna Lowe, of Kansas City, Kan.; nephew Billy Duggins, of Kansas City, Kan.; sister Ruby Tavis, of Kansas City, Kan.; stepdaughter Cheri Stirling, of South Dakota; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard; sister Teresa Whitledge; brother Michael Whinery; and stepson Paul Stirling.
Graveside services were at 11 a.m., on Tuesday,
Jan. 13 at Van Buren Cemetery in Wentworth, with Pastor Rickey Locke officiating. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
