Mt. Vernon EDC group holds annual membership meeting, sets officer slate

 The annual membership meeting of the Mt. Vernon Economic Development Corporation was held the evening of March 4 at the MARC, Mt. Vernon. The lightly attended affair included an exceptional meal provided by local catering outfit Sum-R-Sweets, a newly-minted Summer Boggs company.
The annual slate of officers was quickly set, as the current seat-holders agreed to continue their positions, and were duly codified with a vote. Serving as president will be Earl Alexander; vice president Ryan Squibb, Joey Orr maintains the treasurer’s chair, and Justin Patterson will carry on as the group’s secretary.
Other members of the board in attendance were David Botts, Pam Dudley, Brian George, Jason Haymes, Sam Jones, Skyler Lacey and Max Springer.
