Mary Lou Hand

Mary Lou Hand, 79, of Ash Grove,. on Monday, March 16, at the Circle of Life Hospice Home in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Nov.10, 1946, in Orange, Calif. the daughter of Gladys Lucille Yeager.

Mary was a 1963 graduate of Hemet High School in Hemet, Calif.  

On Dec. 24, 1963, she married Jim Hand, in Hemet, Califf.

Mary is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jim; one daughter, Susan Durbin of Ash Grove, two sons, James Hand, Jr. of Ash Grove, and Stephen Hand and his wife, Tammy, of Portland, Tenn; two sisters, Dorothy Pedrola and her husband, Tom, of Camdenton, and Patti Bartlett of Linn Creek; two brothers, Jack Chappell and his wife, Barbara, of Hemet, Calif and Bobby Chappell, of Lebanon, 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson on the way

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Gladys Stevenson. 

A visitation will be held from 12:00–1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the Mt. Vernon IOOF Cemetery.
