MARGARET “ELAINE” CARTER

Margaret “Elaine” Carter, 76, of Seligman passed away on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025. She was born in Hamburg, Ark. on Sept. 9, 1948; the daughter of Wesley and Elizabeth (Martin) Walters.
She graduated from Hamburg High School. She worked for Superior Wheel Manufacturing for five years and was a member of Martinville Baptist Church in Hamburg.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Carter of Seligman and Tony (Rhonda) Carter of Rogers, Ark.; two brothers, Johnny (Rita) Walters of Fountain Hill, Ark. and Thomas (Sharon) Walters of Martinville, Ark.; two sisters, Treasa (Tommy) Pilgrim of Hamburg, Ark. and Kathy (Jim) Barfield of Martinville, Ark.; one granddaughter and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tracy Carter and five brothers: Billy Walters, Lonnie Walters, Sammie Walters, Ronnie Walters, and Jerry Walters.
Services were held on Friday, Feb. 28, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Tony Ball conducted the services. Burial was at Seligman Cemetery in Seligman.
