WILLIAM “BILL” HENRY RAPP, JR.

William “Bill” Henry Rapp, Jr., 73, of Foley, Ala. passed away on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024. He was born May 6, 1951, in East St. Louis, Ill.; the son of William Henry Rapp, Sr. and Dolores Marie Duffy.
On Oct. 1, 2000, he married Martha Soia Greiner, in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
He graduated from Belleville High School later attending Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Md. earning a bachelor’s degree in business. He owned and operated Wickizer and Clutter Inc. in Springfield as an independent claims adjuster for many years. Prior to Wickizer, he worked for GAB and throughout his career, he met and maintained relationships with people he valued for decades. He was active in many organizations over the years, including the Coast Guard, the Knights of Columbus and various roles in the Catholic Church and most recently was a member of St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Parish in Foley, Ala.
He is survived by his wife, Martha; one daughter, Lauren Rapp of Washington, D.C and two sons, Jason Cash of Fayetteville, Ark. and Alejandro Greiner Malbet and his wife Lannette Guerra of San Francisco, Calif.; one brother, Robert Rapp of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Carol Shaw of Montgomery, Ala.; and one granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Jesus Leonardo Malbet.
Mass was held on Thursday, Dec. 5, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Springfield with a celebration of life aafter at Springfield Brewing Company in Springfield.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the care of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
