Tory James Davis

Tory James Davis, 22, of Sarcoxie passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, at Mercy Hospital of Carthage in Carthage. He was born in Springfield on Monday, Aug. 25, 2003, son of Timmy Davis and Lesa (Seufert) Davis. He was a 2022 graduate of Pierce City High School. He worked at Grande Tire in Pierce City. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and riding go-carts. He was an avid Chiefs fan. He loved animals and had a Mutton-busting video aired on America’s Funniest Home Videos where he was famous for a moment. He also enjoyed steer riding, bronc riding, and horse riding. He participated in the Ride for Life. He cherished time with friends and family. He enjoyed spending time with his twin brother and his kids were his pride and joy.
He is survived by his children, Waylon James Davis and McKenna Nicole Dailey; father Timmy Davis, of Exeter; mother Lesa Davis, of Pierce City; twin brother Trey Jakob Davis, of Pierce City; maternal grandma Rita Seufert, of Pierce City; paternal grandpa David Davis, of Exeter; several cousins; and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandpa Bill Seufert and his paternal grandma Judy Davis.
Rosary service was at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pierce City on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, at 6 p.m. Visitation followed until 8 p.m.
Funeral Mass was at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pierce City on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. with Father Sanoop Thomas officiating. Burial followed at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Pierce City.
Memorials may be made, in his memory, to Ride for Life. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
