Sherry Maxine Funk

Sherry Maxine Funk, 65, of Jenkins, passed away March 6, 2019, at Roaring River Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cassville.
She was born Feb. 14, 1954 in Texas, to Jesse Thomas and Jimmie Maxine (Sutterfield) Chapman. In 1986 she was married to Paul Andrew “Andy” Funk, who survives. Funk had lived in several places as a child and in the 1980’s she moved to Bentonville, Ark. where she was employed at a chicken plant. A few years after she was married, they moved to Jenkins. She enjoyed making jewelry and being on the computer.
Also surviving are: sons, Shane (Joy) Dunback of Oklahoma, Shawn Staton of Aurora and Paul Funk of Jenkins; daughter, Sheena Akin of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents.
Services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
