ROBERT “BOB” EUGENE HOUSTON

Robert “Bob” Eugene Houston, 74, of Monett, Missouri passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024. He was born on March 4, 1950, in Humansville, Missouri; the son of the late Marshall Wilburn Houston Jr. and Beatrice Pauline (Piper) Houston.
He graduated from Humansville High School in 1968.
Bob was a bricklayer for over 40 years and truly loved his profession.  He had a love of all thing’s cars; racing them, collecting them, working on them, and watching them on TV whether it was auctions or NASCAR.  He knew how to have a good time, especially when surrounded by family and friends, whether it was scaring them with a loud “boo”, cooking for them, camping with them, or just spending time with them.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Yvonne Houston, whom he celebrated 39 years of marriage with; three daughters: Sara Ellison and husband Max of Purdy, Missouri, Carrie Szydloski and husband Jason of Monett, Missouri, and Bobbi Roldan and husband Steve of Purdy, Missouri; five grandchildren: Casey and Weston Ellison, Caden and Levi Szydloski, and Brooklyn Roldan; one sister, Marsha Ann Quessenberry of Osceola, Missouri; and a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, at Buchanan Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Alzheimer’s Association in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett.
