Peggy Louise Ellington

Peggy Louise Ellington of Ash Grove, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 in Springfield, Missouri at age 76.
Peggy was born on January 29, 1943 in Los Angeles, California to Raymond and Iris (Miller) McNerney. 
She received her cosmetologist license in 1972 and took great pride as a hairdresser for many years.  She then worked for Evans Collars in Mt Vernon, Mo for several years.  She had a passion and great talent for crafts in woodworking and painting.  She loved animals, enjoyed sightseeing, spending time with friends and family and playing Tetris.  On November 17, 2000, she married Edgar (Eddie) Ellington.
She had a big heart and loved to help others in any way she could. She will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved her.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, son Frankie, sister Sandy Keller, and brother in law Gary Kellam.  She is survived by her husband Eddie; son Kent Seymour of CA; daughter in law Pam Slagle of MO; sister Janet Kellam of CA; step brothers Jay (Betty) McCullah, Phil (Marlena) McCullah both of MO, and Ron McCullah of CA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren of MO; a great great aunt of CA; nephews Jon, Joseph, and Justin DeAnda and Jeffery Kellam all of CA; Jay DeAnda of HI, James and Troy Fitzpatrick, Nickolas (Catherine) Helms and Michael Helms all of MO; and ten great nephews and nieces of CA.
At Peggy’s request, no services will be held.  Her ashes will be scattered over the Golden Gate Bridge along with her family in San Francisco, California at a later date.
