8th defendant cuts deal with county prosecutor
Frank Sheridan, the eighth defendant in the murder of Sarah Pasco in 2020 has recently come to trial and received a sentence of five years probation.
In August of 2020, Sarah Pasco was kidnapped alongside another woman and forced into the trunk of a car at her own home in Stotts City after being told to dig their own graves in what is believed to have been a drug deal gone wrong. Presumably abandoning the original plan, he  drove to a gravel road outside of Miller where Pasco and the woman were forced to enter a deep well at gunpoint. Once in the well, defendant Gary Hunter, fired shots downward at the two women, killing Pasco. The other woman hid under the body of Pasco until the coast was clear then climbed out of the well and sought help. Pasco’s body was retrieved from the well the next morning by law enforcement.
The group of nine responsible for the kidnap and murder of Pasco have nearly all been sentenced, with penalties for the crime ranging from life in prison, to five years probation in the case of Sheridan.
Sheridan pleaded guilty to his charge of kidnapping and helped investigators with their review of the case which could have resulted in a reduced sentence. He was handed a 15-year suspended sentence and five years probation which means that, despite his hand in the murder, Sheridan will face no jail time. According to court documents, the last defendant in the case will appear in court in November.
