Norma Lea Lemaster

Norma Lea Lemaster,  92, of Pierce City, passed away Jan. 7, 2019, at her home near Pierce City. Lemaster was born in Newton County Dec. 9, 1926, to Charles Lee and Donna (Landreth) York. She married Ferris Collins Lemaster in  1943, in Fairview and he preceded her in death in 2010.
Lemaster was a lifelong area resident. She attended Ross School, Jolly School and graduated from Midway High School. She worked as a telephone operator for the Pierce City and Granby telephone companies.
Surviving are the following: son, Bill (Anga) Lemaster of Ritchey; daughter, Sharon Lemaster of Ashland, Ore.; sister, Carolyn (Lewis) Marion of Ritchey; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother, Vernon York.
Graveside Services were held Jan. 10, 2019, at Clear Creek Cemetery, west of Pierce City. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
