Neoma M. Maples

Neoma M. Maples, 89, of Springdale, Ark., formerly of Shell Knob, passed away Sept. 10, 2019 in Springdale, Ark.
She was born Sept. 11, 1929, the daughter of Leonard E. and Lulu Floy (Hillhouse) McCullah. In 1947 in Marionville, she married Arnold Maples, who survives.
She grew up in Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri and graduated from Marionville High School. For several years she was the Postmaster in Kingsdown, Kan. and later moved to Shell Knob to make her home. Some of the things she enjoyed was running the church bus ministry in Shell Knob with her husband Arnold and lending a hand to anyone that needed it, rather friend or stranger. She had been a member of Order Of The Eastern Star, First Baptist Church in Shell Knob and was currently a member of First Baptist Church in Lowell, Ark.
Also surviving are sons, Dennis (Pat) Maples of Columbia and Danny (Brenda) Maples of Olathe, Kan.; daughter, Deyann (Bob) Corbin of Springdale, Ark.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; and brothers, David, Jessie, John, Glenn, Joe, Bill and Lemuel.
Services were held Sept. 13, 2019 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial was held at I.O.O.F Cemetery in Marionville.
