MVHS Trackletes compete at state

Pictured, the Mt. Vernon girls 4x100 relay team of Kadence Krempges, Adalyn Mesicek, Cameryn Cornell and Nina Cowherd pose after their race. On Friday, May 26, the team qualified for the finals round of state after placing sixth in the first found of competitions. On Saturday, May 27, the team finished seventh overall with a time of 50.83 seconds setting a new personal record and breaking their own school record. In additon to the 4x100 relay the team also placed 11th overall in the 4x200 relay, Cornell also competed in the high jump and placed tied for 14th overall; Cowherd competed in the 100m and placed 14th overall; and Krempges competed in Pole Vault placing tied for 12th overall.
 

Pictured above, Jacob Erpelding also traveled and competed at state on May 26-27, in the 110m hurdles. He finished in 14th place with a time of 16.95 seconds.
