Mt. Vernon volleyball splits two contests

The Lady Mt'neers traveled to Seneca Tuesday, Sept. 4, falling to the Seneca Lady Indians in three sets, but rebounded on Thursday, Sept. 6 at home against Neosho, winning in two sets.
Against Seneca, Mt. Vernon won the first set 25-19, but lost a close second set 25-27 and the third and decisive set 13-25.
Maddy Mosley had seven kills and eight digs for Mt. Vernon. Lacy Stokes had 10 digs and 18 assists.
In the match at home against Neosho, Mt. Vernon won in two sets, 25-16 and 25-16.
Bethany Williams had seven kills and three digs, while Ellie Johnston had six kills and 13 digs.
The Lady Mt'neers will travel to Bolivar Thursday, Sept. 13.
