Mt. Vernon’s Jarvis on collegiate rugby Final Four team

Missouri S&T squad punches ticket to national playoffs on North Carolina
 Mt. Vernon graduate Jonathan Jarvis, currently a student at Missouri S&T, in Rolla, is a member of the school’s powerhouse rugby team that earned a spot in the national Final Four tournament held in North Carolina. The undefeated team has outscored opponents 379-68 in their historic run. In regional playoff action, the team bested Montana State University 34-3, and Illinois State, 13-10. Joining Jarvis on the team are two Willard High School graduates, Austin McMillen and John Baker. Jarvis, taking a knee in the center, is pictured with an impressive beard.
