Miller School District gives glimpse of future FEMA building exterior, interior

Construction has begun at Miller High School on the approved addition of a new auxiliary gym, expansion to the existing cafeteria and choir/ band room that will double as a town-accessible FEMA shelter.
Thanks to an overwhelmingly approved $1,250,000 No Tax Bond Issue back in April, the town of Miller will see these improvements to their high school by the end of 2020, sooner for the cafeteria upgrade, which is scheduled to be complete before the start of the 2020-21 school year.
Due to being selected for federal funding, the school district will be reimbursed for the FEMA shelter in the amount of $924,750. Pictured right, is an artist’s rendering of what the future auxiliary gym and cafeteria will look like at Miller High School.
