Ma’s Cafe closes in Miller
Ma’s Cafe and Pizzeria sits empty on East Main Street in Miller following its closing. The restaurant opened in Oct. 22, 2014 and remained in business for almost 10 years; it closed on June 14. It’s now for sale. Laura Hance, owner of Ma’s Cafe, said that she tried to keep the business going, but it wasn’t meant to be.
“I loved the fact that the cafe taught my kids how to have good work ethics,” she said, “and we met some lifelong friends there. However, God shut that door for me, since I was hesitant to do so.”
Hance also expressed her gratitude towards her customers, whose backing, she said, helped keep her going.
“I’m thankful for all the customers who supported me along the way,” she said. “I pray they are blessed 10 fold for having my back. I am walking away a different person than when I started. I am walking away with a relationship with Jesus that can only be had by doing his will. I am just very, very thankful for it all.”
