Miller’s Helton named SWC Player of the Year

Miller volleyball had the lion’s share of success this season finishing with another undefeated conference season, but falling to eventual undefeated state champion Fair Grove in the quarterfinal. The momentum continued into the postseason award season as six Lady Cardinals earned all-conference honors. Juniors Ashlynn Helton, Camden Stockton and Rachel Nunez earned first team honors. Junior Loghann Leivan and freshman Layni Johnson earned 2nd team honors. Helton also got the honor of being named Southwest Conference Player of the year. The sixth honor belongs to head coach Tamara Landers who was named the SWC Coach of the Year.
