Louis L. Jordan

Louis L. Jordan, 92, of Aurora passed away Feb. 6, 2019, in Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
He was born to Leroy and Mable McMillan Jordan Aug. 9, 1926, in Lindsey, Okla. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the 188th paratroop infantry, serving in the 13th and the 11th airborne division in Sendi, Japan. After the military, he worked as an operating engineer building roads and was a supervisor of the hot plant.
Survivors include: son, Wayne (Cheryl) Jordan of Marionville; daughters, Joyce Jordan of Aurora, Wanda (J.C.) Curtis of Aurora and Nina (Dale) Dresia of Miami, Okla.; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Retta; brother, Glen Jordan; sisters, Lavell Parks, Darlene Helton, Ruby Canfield and Lucille Searcy; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1 p.m. until service time in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in Maple Park Cemetery with full military honors.
