Lois V. Baird

Lois V. Baird, 81, of Jasper, passed away Dec. 27, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Carthage.
Baird was born July 23, 1938 in Carthage to LeRoy Etcheson and Mary Mae Engle. In 1959, she married Paul Allen Baird Jr. in Nashville. She worked as a nurse with the Sisters of Mercy and retired from Freeman O.R. in 2018.
Survivors include: son, Mark Baird of  Jasper; daughters, Paula Colley of Miller and Tammy (Tom) Noland of Parsons, Kan.; brother, Sammy Jr. Etcheson, Alba; eight grandchildren; along with eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; brothers, Leroy Etcheson Jr., Virgil Etcheson, Robert (Bill) Etcheson and Luther (Dutch) Etcheson; sisters, Viola Wardlow and Martha Condon; one grandson; one great-grandson, Colton Jackson; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Dec. 31, 2019. at Nashville Christian Church with burial that followed at Waters Cemetery. Memorials are suggested and made payable to Freeman O.R. Nursing Education Fund in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
