Knud Aage Jensen

Knud Aage Jensen, of Marionville, passed away Nov. 5, 2019, in Springfield. Jensen was born Nov. 22, 1921, in Webster City, Iowa, to Alfred Jensen and Dagmar (Raven) Jensen. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1939.
After working for his uncle at a millwork shop in Webster City for several years, he and a friend bought a millwork shop in Eldora, Iowa, where he also acquired a patent for the Infanseat, which they further developed as the forerunner to the car seats of today. After selling the Infanseat Company in the late 60s, he was a part of several companies, including Double Aa Mfg, and finally working for Adventureland in Des Moines, and Silver Dollar City in Branson.
By a previous marriage, he was the father of Kris Jensen Weis and David Jensen. He married Joyce Newton in 1982, and they moved to Forsyth. He was a member, Deacon, and Elder of the Presbyterian Church in Forsyth before they moved to Ozark Methodist Manor in Marionville, in 2003.
He is survived by: Kris Weis (Bob) of Muscatine, Iowa and David Jensen (Sara) of Rogers, Ark.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Jensen was preceded in death by: his parents; sisters, Alma Branyord (Dean) and Edith Jensen, both of Webster City, Iowa; and his wife.
A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday Nov. 27, 2019, 10-11:30 a.m. at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, in Springfield. Burial will follow at the Veterans Cemetery, in Springfield where he will receive full military honors. Memorials are suggested to Ozark Methodist Manor in Marionville. Arrangments were entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. DeGraffenreid-Wood-Crematory in Springfield.
