John Lee Woolsey

John Lee Woolsey, 78, of Marionville, passed away Jan. 23, 2019, at his home. He was born Oct. 10, 1940, in Tebbetts, to Luther William and Mabel Marie (Burton) Woolsey.
Woolsey worked for the City of Fulton and loved woodworking, spending time with his dog Buddy and visiting with friends. In 1978, he married Vera June Gardner in Centralia. She preceded him in death in 2013.
Woolsey is survived by his family, Max (Cheryl) White of Springfield, Tammy (Gary) McCoy of Miller, Mike (Holly) Knight of Summerville, S.C. and Sue (Norman) Hutchins of Fulton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of family. He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Vera; sisters, Mildred Alexander, Dorothy Shaeffer and Alpha John; brothers, Floyd, Steward “Bill” and Norman Woolsey.
A visitation was held Jan. 29, 2019, at the Williams Funeral Home in Marionville with a funeral service that followed at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.WilliamsFuneralHomeMo.com.
