James William “Jim” LeCompte II

James William “Jim” LeCompte II, 68, of Cassville, passed away Dec. 15, 2019. He was born Dec. 1, 1951. He attended Cassville High School, graduating in 1969. He attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and received his undergraduate degree in political science in 1973. He then attended the University of Arkansas School of Law where he received his juris doctor (J.D.) in 1976.In 1984, he married Gayle in Monett.
Since birth, he was an active member of the Cassville United Methodist Church. After establishing his private practice in Cassville, he practiced law for over 40 years. He served as board chairman of the Barry County Tax Board for the developmentally disabled catering to individuals with special needs for over two decades.
He is survived by: his wife; daughters, Danielle Dove LeCompte (Ryan) Thomas and Gabrielle Dawn LeCompte; son, James William “Wil” LeCompte III; brother, Richard LeBoyd (Nancy) LeCompte;one aunt; and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services were held Dec. 19, 2019, at the United Methodist Church in Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
