JACK CLIFFORD KELLEY

Jack Clifford Kelley, age 94, left this earth on Monday November 18, 2024, at his home. He was born on August 9, 1930, to Ella Mae and Pete Kelley.
A lifelong resident of Monett he completed his high school education after serving his country as an Army paratrooper during the Korea conflict.
He was employed by Vaisey Bristol shoes and Friend Tire as a salesman. He joined the family business, KC Foam, with his father and brother-in-law, Bill Curbow.  The business was successful, serving the furniture, recreation, and bedding industries. The business was sold to Crain Industries of Arkansas, and he continued managing the business until his retirement.
During his retirement years he delivered meals to those in need for Meals on Wheels. He was a regular at the local golf course enjoying the daily game as well as providing free advice for the current greenskeeper.
Jack was a long-time member of the Monett Presbyterian Church, where he was very active serving for many years as an Elder. An avid hunter and fisherman, he shared this passion with his children and friends. He was selected Southwest Missouri Father of the Year in 1967, which reflected his commitment to not only his children but the many children he coached in the pee wee sports programs. He was instrumental in starting up the Quarterback Club dedicated to the support of the of the many sports programs in the high school.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Darlene (Cuendet) Kelley; daughter, Susan (Ted) Norris of Monett; sons: Rodney (Susan) Kelley of Lee Summit, Craig (Sharon) Kelley of Monett and Mitch (Mia) Kelley of Pierce City. He enjoyed following the many activities of his 10 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren who loved and admired their “Papa”.

He made time for everyone and could be counted on for a good laugh and let others know they were seen. He was loved by many, and most would describe him as one of kind. His passing will leave an empty spot in many lives.
